Founders at early stage B2B tech startups: you absolutely are fumbling the ball by not prioritising making LinkedIn a key part of your growth strategy.
I get the hesitancy, you don't want to post without purpose, you're unsure of how much value you’d be able to share or you simply have no interest in joining the plethora of self-congratulatory circle jerk LinkedIn posts clogging our feeds.
But the upside is huge (it’s free for starters) - it can make a huge impact as you’re building your brand awareness and there’s a ton of success stories all across LinkedIn where it’s driving inbound demand that turns into actual revenue. Want inbounds to improve? Then lead by example.
Of course, posting is not for everyone. Quoting B2B LinkedIn deity Chris Walker, CEO of Passetto, "It's hard to take a horse and pretend it's a zebra. The people who need a ton of convincing are never going to do it or be successful”. 🦓
But if it’s something you want to do, but ‘don’t have the time’, then suck it up and start prioritising that time.
To tangibly help, I’ve attached a simple framework for founders to both define their strategy and implement it here. Lmk if it's helpful.
